Durga Puja in USA
Durga Puja one of an important festival in India and is also celebrated in overseas. Durga Puja is also celebrated in USA in a very traditional manner and all the Bengali community come together to celebrate Durga Puja.
There are many Bengali associations which conduct these festivals to all the Bengali people who are staying in USA. There is nothing new in the arrangements when it is celebrated in USA. The only difference is that, there are many USA residents who also participate in these ocassion. They too dress up in traditional Bengali dress to attend the Durga Puja.
There is a place in USA called as Bay Area where before people residing here were not much interest in Durga Puja celebration, but later as the population of Bengali people kept increasing, Durga Puja celebration started peaking up. As the roots of Bengali community is growing the celebration of Durga Puja is growing.
