Deepavali is one such festival when all the people from every religion come together to celebrate it. It’s the occasion when people come together to wish each other happy diwali and exchange sweets. During this festival people perform Laxmi puja, Bhai Duj, Dhanteras and Gowardhan Puja. Every puja has its story and reason to perform. The main reason is to bring prosperity and wealth. Deepavali is not only celebrated in India, but also in abroad.  Deepavali celebration in abroad is largely performed by the Indian’s who are settled there.

In abroad to the celebration is not less, as people perform the same ritual and puja that is done here in India. There are many place like USA, UK and other foreign country where Indian population are growing , so the celebration of deepavali is getting more popularity. If you visit Australia, you can get how deepawali is being celebrated with pomp and show. The enthusiasm of the Indian people also attracts Non-Indian’s too. Places in Australia where deepavali is being celebrated are Sydney Olympic Park and Flemington Racecourse the venue of Melbourne cup, which show how Indian festival is gaining its roots over other country.

People from abroad do visit India to experience the deepavali festival and enjoy their best in this country. There are many in aboard countries where there are special places arranged to celebrate deepavali. Britain, the place which has the 2nd largest population of Indian also experience this festival. The British City of Leicester is the noted place to celebrate deepavali. There are many local shrine of Goddess Laxmi, which marks the beginning of the deepavali festival. During this festival people of Britain experience the month of cold and windy.  Indian people in Britain also keep diya’s in the veranda of their home to make the atmosphere of deepavali.
